Synopsis Apathetic high school student Houtarou Oreki is forced to enter his school's Classic Literature Club upon the request of his older sister, Tomoe Oreki. This club was on the verge of being disbanded due to the absence of members. However, he founds out that club already has one member in the face of ever-curious girl called Eru Chitanda. In a little while his friends, knowledgeble Satoshi Fukube and stern Mayaka Ibara, also join in. Accompanied by his fellow club members and being pushed by Chitanda's curiosity, Oreki is forced to solve different mysteries by using his resourcefulness and hidden talents.

April 26, 2019 Starting August 2019 Hyouka manga will get content directly from Classic Literature Club series, since it adapted everything shown in the anime. It'll follow Classics Club in their second year of High School.[3] [4]

A new short story titled Shiroi Hotoke (白い仏, lit. "White Buddha"), a part of "Yomegairi ka" (甦り課, lit. "Recalled Lesson") series, will be published on May 22, 2019 within the monthly All Yomimono. Although it's unrelated to Classic Literature Club series, but it's a good reminder that Honobu Yonezawa is still producing new works![5]
